——
The East Ocean Famed for the Eight Immortals,
Traversing the Vast Seas and Displaying Supernatural Might,
The Deities In The Moon Palace Radiating Light of Brilliance,
Indulging in Fragrant Cakes amidst Heavenly Chatters
East Ocean’s mooncakes has been long renowned. That day my disciple gave me one tiny snow-skinned mooncake. Though it was small in size, but my was bite went like “Oh my Buddha!”. The light whiff of fragrance from the skin, the sweet tasty fillings of lotus seed paste, each doing their magic. Even after I ate it all, it still left its fragrance in my mouth.
The mooncakes from East Ocean is indeed a delicacy. I felt a poetic sense after consuming them, thus the reason for the poem as a gratitude to my disciples as well as to the chef who made the mooncakes.
